The Building Trust institute raises our consciousness, intentionality and repertoire of practical strategies to build, maintain and repair trust.
We will explore how to build and support trust, how trust cannot be assumed but intentionally taught as we support teams, professional learning communities, collaborative structures, looking at student data, giving and receiving feedback and peer observing in each other’s classrooms.
In addition, we will experience trust building strategies to explore beliefs, diverse perspectives and cultures and culturally proficient practices.
Lastly, strategies to reframe conflict as an opportunity for trust building and innovation will be addressed.
All administrators, teacher leaders, classroom teachers and board members are invited to attend.
The outcomes of this institute experience are to:
- Develop strategies to foster strong relationships, psychological safety, trust and inclusive school cultures.
- Build collaborative structures to support trusting adult interactions
- Reframe conflict as opportunity for diverse perspectives in a respectful environment, enhanced innovation and expanded trust.
- Analyze the components and specific behaviors to build trust.
- Correlate the role of vulnerability with courage and trust.
- Design and action plan for raising the level of trust in your classroom, department and school.
